CRAP!!!!!!!

and it broke......

HIP JOINT BREAK CCOMBO~!!!!!!!!!!!!

orz

yeah i broke KGale's left hip joint today...making me to break 2 hip joint of 2 kits in 2 days.... =_=

dang..

then i trying to figure it out on how to fix it...

direct superglue? fail

cement? its TTHL so cements cant melt the plastic so my limonene cement went crying at a corner XD

drill and put a pin inside it? hmm..no suitable tools and the pieces are too small to work on..

then i glanced on my Zoids Blox's box...

OH YES EXTRA JOINT PARTS FROM ZOIDS BLOX~!

so there i have it..apparently the size of the ball is equal with the one on DSSD Astray. so putting on a test fit there ^^

(note : Zoids Blox got a runner of extra joint parts of various shape since Blox are made for combining with other Blox or motorized Zoids)

with the whole hip parts.apparently it fits very nice and didnt even budge~

with the legs and the whole KGale itself

so as what i see here, the joint part is longer than the original so it killed the proportion when i removed the Assault Armor on the chest..

so to fix that, i cut a bit on the joint and glued it with superglue and strengthened it with mixture of superglue and talc powder and it turned out very nice~
but no photos on the newly repaired one since my sis again snatched the camera so another week without camera... -_-

oh yes, Zoids' plastic for the joint is super duper hard and stiff and i got a hard time to cut it ^^;;

thats all for now~

  2. Oh no! Did you have to sacrifice any Zoids for it? Or was that a leftover part?

  6. I think that's the best solution.
super glue + reinforcement inside is still risky it seems, a new one is much better, hahaha

  11. ah broken part is scary... at least for me.

but for my friends, the kitbashers, broken part is everyday's work.

they mostly use blutack or epo-putty.
